SCIB identifies areas that need to be improved upon in respective garment factories and help these factories attain a certain level of compliance. Once the level is achieved, factory owners can apply for internationally recognized certifications such as ITS, BVQI, WRAP and or SA 8000, improve working conditions and socio-economic environment in the global context, and create responsible apparel producers in the global market.
SCIB helps the factories attain a certain level of compliance so that they can satisfy renowned buyers and make their factories self-sustaining. The scope of SCIB activities is as follows:
